Before the Bell: Futures slide as traders await U.S. inflation data

Equities Wall Street futures were down modestly early Tuesday morning following gains in the previous session as traders await U.S. inflation data later in the week. Major European markets were mixed after a firmer start. TSX futures were weaker. In the early premarket period, Dow, S&P and Nasdaq futures all saw slight losses. A day earlier, all three ended up, with the Nasdaq adding more than 1 per cent. Canada’s S&P/TSX Composite Index closed Monday’s session 0.54-per-cent higher.
