The first robot taxi services in Beijing to operate without safety drivers are Baidu and Pony.ai

For the first time in China's history, robotaxi services like as those provided by Baidu and Pony.ai may operate without the need of human safety drivers in Beijing (via CNBC). However, despite the fact that both organisations no longer need a driver, they will still need a supervisor in the car at all times.
