Venezuela: Trump is reminding the world he can operate anywhere and strike any target

President Donald Trump says the US has “captured” President Maduro but he’s not always terribly specific with his language. Either way taking a sitting president and his wife from their county is a hugely significant move. It may come to pass that this was a negotiated extraction but there’s no underestimating the significance of that move, agreed or otherwise. It’s worth noting that while Trump was threatening Maduro and striking so called “narco-boats”, there was negotiation between US representatives and Maduro’s team.
