The 2021 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) have been moved to 2022 after the country announced in July that the biennial multi-sport event would be postponed from its planned November start date due to the spread of Covid-19. The regional Games, which feature 11 national Olympic committee teams competing in 520 events across 40 sports, will now be held in Hanoi during an as yet unspecified two week period in May 2022.
