Chinese tech giant Baidu used its annual technology conference last week (15 September) to demonstrate its Apollo Fully Automated Driving. The AI system can independently drive without a safety driver inside the vehicle, a breakthrough that Baidu says will accelerate the large-scale deployment of autonomous driving technology across China.
