Two Alaska coastal communities will host three new icebreaker vessels in the coming years, the Coast Guard said Thursday. The first two icebreakers are expected to be homeported in Kodiak in 2028, with a third stationed in Seward when the infrastructure is ready, U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan told reporters on a call Thursday.
