We visited the new-look Slieve Donard Hotel, now standing as tall as the nearby Mourne Mountains

One, two, three, four, five, six….and seven!! Myself and my almost-seven-year old daughter are playing a game where we count how many Christmas trees we can find dotted around the Slieve Donard Hotel in Newcastle, Co Down. We’re sure we’ve found them all until one member of the concierge tells us that, actually, there are a total of 11 trees. And we can’t quite believe our ears… so off we jolly well go to find the other four. In a nutshell We just can’t help it. It’s only mid-November but it’s impossible not to get swept up in the spirit...
