Before the Bell: Futures edge up as traders look ahead to Fed decision, Canadian inflation data

Equities Wall Street futures edged higher early Monday as traders look ahead to this week’s rate decision from the Federal Reserve. Major were mostly lower. TSX futures were positive. In the early premarket period, Dow, S&P and Nasdaq futures were all above water. On Friday, all three saw losses, led by a 1.56-per-cent decline by the Nasdaq. Canada’s S&P/TSX Composite Index ended Friday’s session up 0.26 per cent. This week attention will be focused on the Fed policy announcement, due Wednesday afternoon.
