Gotion VP discusses CFIUS review for Green Charter Township facility

MECOSTA COUNTY — Project Elephant, a proposed plan to bring a Gotion Inc., electric vehicle battery component manufacturing facility to Green Charter Township has been fraught with controversy focused on its connection to China. Early in the process, following the vote to approve the Renaissance Zone, Big Rapids Township board members began to express concerns about the project, because of a lack of transparency from company representatives and concerns about the connection to the Chinese Communist Party.
