With an aim to protect local industry players from the influx of low-cost imports from China the commerce ministry has proposed imposing an anti-dumping duty, potentially amounting to USD 243 per tonne, on Chinese glass imports used in household appliances. The commerce ministry has recommended an anti-dumping duty of up to USD 243 per tonne of import of Chinese glass used in Home appliances with a view to guard domestic players against cheap inbound shipments from the neighbouring country.
