ASX to rise, Dow paces Wall Street higher

On Wall Street, shares were higher at the start of their trading week, paced by the Dow with Amgen and Boeing leading. The VIX retraced some of last week’s surge, falling more than 6 per cent. Apple extended its losses, though it was off its session low near 2.15pm. In a note, Morgan Stanley had this view on the US reporting season: “At current consensus, second half earnings are expecting a sharp acceleration from 2Q while 2024 sees a return to double-digit EPS growth.
