A Chinese peace plan could provide a basis for a settlement of the fighting in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed. Speaking after talks with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Putin accused Ukraine’s western allies of having so far shown no interest in such a settlement.
