How important is Bakhmut for the Russians? The town of Bakhmut, in the eastern Donetsk region, is one you might be familiar with after months of fierce fighting in the heavily-contested region. Our defence analyst Professor Michael Clarke is asked how important this town is to the Russians, who are still fighting for control. He says it isn't really that critical at all for Moscow. "Bakhmut has been the focus for the last three months by the Wagner Group" of mercenaries, Professor Clarke explains. He adds that the leader of this group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, is at "war with the Kremlin"....
