China imposed strict quarantine on millions of inhabitants as new outbreaks of COVID-19 were registered, authorities reported Tuesday, as the government persisted in its uncompromising measures to contain the virus. The measures affected half of the six million inhabitants of the port city of Dalian along with an undisclosed number of people in Chengde and Shijiazhuang, Hebei province, about three hours from Beijing.
