A brand new virus has been detected at the Chinese laboratory at the centre of Covid’s origin. Researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology discovered the pathogen — code-named LsPyV KY187 — in a mouse. It belongs to a family of polyomaviruses which infect millions of children every year but are extremely mild.
