Taiwan reports 21,869 new COVID-19 cases, 54 deaths TAIPEI, Aug 5 (CNA) Taiwan reported 21,869 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC). The ages of the deceased ranged from 40s to 90s. All but four suffered from chronic or other serious illnesses, and 22 had not been vaccinated, according to the CECC.
