Taipei, June 30 (CNA) Taiwan reported 38,942 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday. According to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC), all but 96 were domestically infected and 118 people died from the disease. Patients who were reported dead on Thursday were in their 20s and 90s. According to the CECC, 115 people with chronic and other serious illnesses and 53 unvaccinated are included. The CECC also stated that 105 previously reported COVID-19 cases became severe and 186 other individuals developed moderate symptoms. According to the CECC, among the severe cases are eight children diagnosed with pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C)....
