Photo: Getty Images A federal operation seized tens of thousands of illegal gun silencers smuggled into the United States from China and led to numerous arrests, according to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) report shared on the agency's website . Operation Silent Night, which was initially launched in 2019, included 42,888 illegally imported silencers and 4,868 firearms being seized , as well as 204 arrests reported as of March 2022. Additionally, federal authorities have also shut down websites that sold the items and worked with officials in China in an effort to cease the manufacturing of illegal silencers....
