Photo: Getty Images A federal operation seized tens of thousands of illegal gun silencers smuggled into the United States from China and led to numerous arrests, according to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) report shared on the agency’s website . Operation Silent Night, which was initially launched in 2019, included 42,888 illegally imported silencers and 4,868 firearms being seized , as well as 204 arrests reported as of March 2022.
