Taiwan reported 56 new local cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Thirteen of the people confirmed with COVID are part of a cluster in Keelung in northeastern Taiwan. Twelve more are connected to an outbreak at the Datan Power Plant in Taoyuan. Infection sources in fourteen cases from Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, and Keelung are still under investigation. Taiwan also recorded 107 imported cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Fifty-three of them tested positive on arrival in Taiwan, while the remaining 54 tested positive in quarantine. There were no deaths reported on Wednesday.
