Tesla, following the move to powering its Model S using AMD chips, is now also transitioning the china-assembled Model Y onto the same. The news comes in as deliveries for the Model Y Performance units assembled at the Gigafactory Shanghai began. As Electrek points out, Tesla is using the Ryzen chip to power the vehicles' MCU.
