Agency April 7, 2021 A Chinese laboratory has reported to the Nepal Police that the uranium that was seized by the police on March 12 was genuine. Police have sent the seized uranium to China for further investigation. Chief of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police SSP Ashok Singh said that the Chinese laboratory reported that the recovered item was raw uranium-238. Police had first examined the object at the National Forensic Science Laboratory (NAST). NAST said the item could be a raw material for uranium.
