Pakistan was the 31st worst hit nation in the world with a total of 682,888 cases and Bangladesh was the 33rd with 630,277 cases. Reports in the Indian medium also raised alarm over the rapid increase in Covid-19 cases in the country, noting that in the seven days till Friday, India recorded 68,969 new cases a day on average.
