BEIJING, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Beijing reduced the number of COVID-19 medium-risk areas in the city from nine to eight Tuesday, a local health official said. Donghaihong Village in Shunyi District, which was classified as a medium-risk area for COVID-19 on Dec. 29, had not reported any new confirmed case or cluster infection over the past 14 days until Monday, Pang Xinghuo, deputy director of the Beijing center for disease control and prevention, told a press briefing Tuesday.
