BEIJING (Reuters) – Beijing on Monday urged importers to avoid frozen food from countries suffering from severe outbreaks of Covid-19, after testing of imported seafood for coronavirus on several occasions tested positive. “Customs and local authorities have repeatedly detected the coronavirus in imported cold chain products, proving the risk of contamination,” the Beijing Municipal Commercial Bureau said in a statement circulated to companies purchasing food from overseas.
