Taipei, Sept. 19 (CNA) Three people who entered Taiwan recently have been diagnosed with the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said Saturday. The three new cases -- one Filipino and two Taiwanese -- brought the total number recorded in Taiwan to 506 since the country reported its first COVID-19 infection on Jan. 21. The Philippine national, a man in his 20s, entered Taiwan on Sept. 17 and for work purposes and was tested for COVID-19 upon arrival, as is required for all arrivals from the Philippines, CECC spokesman Chuang Jen-hsiang (莊人祥) said.
