BEIJING, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese health authority said Saturday that it received reports of 31 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland Friday, including 25 locally transmitted. Of the locally-transmitted cases, all were reported in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the National Health Commission said in its daily report. On Friday, six new imported cases were also reported. Of the cases, two were reported in Shanghai and one each in the provinces of Zhejiang, Shandong, Hubei and Guangdong, the commission said.
