There have been more than 800 hate crime incidents reported that were directed toward Asian Americans since the COVID-19 outbreak, according to a July report. The Asian Pacific Policy and Planning Council and Chinese for Affirmative Action launched a hate incident reporting website called Stop AAPI Hate on March 19, when the COVID-19 outbreak began.Over the last three months there have been a total of 832 reported incidents.
