Taiwan says US arms sales to island are unchanged, but a $14B package remains on hold

BANGKOK (AP) — Taiwan’s defense minister said Tuesday that existing U.S. arms sales to Taiwan remain unchanged, and that Taipei remains in talks with the U.S. over individual deals. A record $14 billion arms package to the island, however, remains stalled. The minister’s remarks come as concerns mount that President Donald Trump could halt arms sales to Taiwan.
