Indonesia hosts largest Asean-led defence and disaster response exercise in a decade

JAKARTA: Some 2,200 military personnel and civilian officials from 19 countries are taking part in a major disaster response exercise in Indonesia, the largest exercise under the Asean Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus) framework in a decade by personnel numbers. Exercise Trident Resolve, held in Banten in Western Java from Sept 20 to 26, brings together all 11 Asean countries and eight partners: Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Russia and the United States.
