The newly coronated PM is sunning himself on holiday while Britain burns. And I’m not just talking about the weather. There is no sign Andy Burnham will reverse his predecessor’s one-in, one-out migrant policy with France, given he retained Shabana Mahmood as Home Secretary. Yet government figures from August 4, 2025, to June 30, 2026, show 1,087 people were returned to France under the scheme, compared to 1,117 people transferred to the UK.
