US cuts India tariff to 10 per cent after forced labour ban

The United States has imposed a 10 per cent tariff on goods imported from India as part of a wider action against products made using forced labour. The new tariffs, announced under Section 301 of the Trade Act, apply to 60 economies and took effect at 12.01 am on Friday.
