There were times when even our own rulers hesitated to showcase Bharat’s civilisational greatness before foreign dignitaries. Ancient temples, spiritual centres, architectural marvels and symbols of Bharat’s timeless heritage remained overshadowed, while select colonial and Mughal-era structures alone became the dominant representation of Bharat’s identity. A civilisation that once guided the world in spirituality, philosophy and knowledge was slowly conditioned to look at itself through the lens of colonial inferiority. Then came a defining moment in 2014….
