Industrial 3D printers are getting cheaper

Formlabs, an American 3D printer company, unveiled an industrial printer Tuesday that could make the technology far more common on factory floors. The FuseX1 will sell for $85,000 — a fraction of the cost of its closest competitors, which can run up to $500,000, with all the ancillary equipment that is required. “It’s a big deal,” said Joris Peels, an industry consultant and executive editor of 3DPrint.com, a trade publication.
