India’s wealthy population and their wealth continued to grow in 2025, despite weak stock market performance and subdued real estate activities. According to the Capgemini World Wealth Report 2026, the number of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) has recorded a 3 percent growth year-on-year, from 3,78,800 in 2024 to 3,90,100 in 2025. The data suggest that wealth concentration among wealthy people in India increased by 4.6 percent from $1.573 trillion in 2024 to $1.645 trillion in 2025.
