Quad member states on Tuesday agreed to launch initiatives on critical minerals and port infrastructure development in the Indo-Pacific. Following the Quad ministerial meeting, Jaishankar say they had agreed to launch the Indo-Pacific Maritime Surveillance Initiative for port development projects in the Indo-Pacific. He said the first project would be undertaken in Fiji. In the second major agreement, Jaishankar announced that they had agreed on the Quad Critical Minerals Framework to work with like-minded countries.
