Alistair Pim regularly heard how nearly all 20 of the world’s biggest pharma companies have significant operations in Massachusetts, and he couldn’t help but wonder about his own field, clean-tech, and its local footprint. Pim, vice president at the Boston-based Alliance for Climate Transition trade group, couldn’t find a similar ranking for the clean-tech sector.
