Canyon teen set to enter federal plea in July 4th parade bomb plot

An 18-year-old Canyon man is set to plead guilty to planning an attack by bombing the City of Canyon’s Fourth of July parade last year, according to court records. Kevin Alexander Hunt signed paperwork Wednesday, April 8, accepting a deal with prosecutors to plead guilty to a count of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction, which carries a punishment of up to life in prison.
