Jamawi urges Sabah farmers to switch to compost fertiliser

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister Datuk Jamawi Jaafar has urged farmers in the state to use compost fertiliser. He said compost fertiliser can help lower expenses and improve soil fertility. “Most fertilisers are petroleum-based, and we are also facing export stoppages from China, which has somewhat disrupted local supply,” he told reporters at his Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House, hosted together with his wife at Dewan Datuk Seri Panglima Antanom in Tenom on Sunday (April 5).
