The World Uyghur Congress (WUC) has issued its latest brief, casting a spotlight on its global advocacy initiatives and expressing alarm over what it regards as China’s persistent repression of Uyghurs, especially during the holy month of Ramzan. The brief includes recent reports indicating heavy surveillance measures imposed by authorities in the region of Xinjiang, known to Uyghurs as East Turkistan.
