Yours truly is not an expert on the subcontinent, so perhaps I am missing something critical. However, I am mystified over what looks like Modi knuckling under to Trump over his tariff threats. Modi’s concessions look even more unjustified given that the odds are good that the Supreme Court will nix Trump’s imposition of tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977.
