China enforces strict regulations on rare earth exports

China has implemented stringent measures to control the export of rare earths and related technologies. Foreign companies will now require approval from Beijing to export products containing certain minerals. The newly imposed restrictions also aim to limit the export of rare earths for "dual use" technologies that have potential applications in defense industries. China's commerce ministry expressed concerns about some entities illegally obtaining rare earth technology and misusing it, posing risks to national security and international peace.
