US President Donald Trump has sparked off a global trade war by raising tariff walls on imports. While we are in the middle of a 90-day pause on the implementation of reciprocal tariffs where other countries are concerned — except a universal 10 per cent import duty rate — the US has imposed up to 245 per cent tariff on China with immediate effect.
