Chinese lens company Viltrox, known for its impressive and affordable lenses, has unveiled the 56mm f/1.7 compact prime for APS-C mirrorless cameras. The autofocus lens for Fujifilm X Series and APS-C Nikon Z mirrorless cameras features 11 elements across nine groups, including four ED lenses and three pieces of high-refractive-index glass. Viltrox promises fast, accurate, and quiet autofocus performance through an STM focus motor. The lens can focus as close as 0.55 meters (1.8 feet), resulting in a maximum magnification of 0.11x.
