Restricting eating to eight or fewer hours a day, a type of intermittent fasting, may raise the risk of dying prematurely from heart disease over the long term, a new study suggests. An analysis of data from more than 20,000 adults revealed that over several years participants who consumed all food in eight hours or less a day were almost twice as likely to die from cardiovascular disease compared to those who consumed food over the standard 12 to 16 hours a day, according to the report presented on Monday, March 18, at an American Heart Association conference in Chicago….
