Some of the hottest tables in Paris right now come courtesy of California, sort of. Dominique Crenn was born in France, but gained her three Michelin stars at Atelier Crenn in San Francisco. Open since August, Golden Poppy is her first restaurant on French soil, and is located in the playful boutique hotel La Fantaisie. The vibe is rococo greenhouse, courtesy of flamboyant interior designer Martin Brudnizki (him again), and the dual-language menu lists skate wing with oyster cream, and corn waffles with smoked caviar - the perfect merging of France and California.
