U.S. military in Japan bulk buys Japanese scallops as China's Japanese seafood ban continues

The spirit of Operation Tomodachi lives on. China is currently banning the import of all seafood from Japan. The policy went into effect in late August, at the same time as Japan began the release of treated water from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant into the ocean. The Chinese government says the policy is a health and safety measure.
