Taiwan has publicly rebuked Elon Musk over his claim that it is an “integral part of China” and told Newsweek it “condemns in the strongest terms the brutal mediation practices of China’s authoritarian government.” Musk, speaking at a tech conference in Los Angeles Wednesday, said Taiwan was part of China and likened the relationship between Taiwan and China to that of the United States and Hawaii.
