Montana on Friday came a step closer to becoming the first US state to completely ban the Chinese app TikTok. Montana’s House approved a bill banning TikTok from operating in the state, a move that’s bound to face legal challenges but also serves as a testing ground for the TikTok-free America many national lawmakers envision due to concerns over potential Chinese spying.
