We started off this year with our annual list of global unicorn startups, a list of emerging private companies that leverage new technologies or unknown market niches to achieve a value of over 1 billion dollars. In just a year, the number of these unicorns grew from 782 in 2021 to 1,207 unicorn startup companies as of October 2022.
